For Rae

I finally finished this Magnetic Memo Board for my sister. The paper is from a MY Mind's Eye paper stack ( I love those things!) The ribbon is from CTMH.
I went to the craft store ( in the floral area) and picked up these flat marbles. Then I Used Liquid Glass from CTMH and attached paper to the backs--then I glued magnets to them.

I glued magnets to these clips and also ribbon.
I really wanted to get this done in time to take it to my sister when we head to California next weekend. I am so excited about this trip..we get to spend time with my sister and her family---plus we're all going to Disney Land. "The Happiest Place On Earth!" This is the first time that we've had a real vacation. We've just been waiting for the kids to get big enough ..so they would remember going ( and hopefully..having a good time)!

Wish

I did this as an example of "WISH" for an online group. I was hosting it..and we either had to do a layout or create something centering around the word wish. What I didn't realize until later ( after I took the picture and edited it..was that some of the flowers fell off- you can see them in the following photo).
Flowers are Prima..the centers are home made brads ( kit from SU)..paper inside the brads as well as the paper for the layout is My Mind's Eye. I used stickles on the word wish..and used pop up dots to make them "POP".

Other than the flowers falling off the page...I really like how it turned out. I like the colors and how they compliment one another. Thank Goodness for paper packs!

My First Sarah Kay Stamped Card

The other day I was doing some online surfing and came across some stamps by Sarah Kaye. I loved them so much that I bought 2. Though, so far I have only had time to make one card. This is my card...and I just love this image. I love everything about the image..the hat, the outfit, the picnic basket..and just the overall look of the little girl.

For my card I chose to use SU cardstock...with the exception of the red and white cardstock which comes from PaperTrey Inc. The image was colored with my Copic Markers. I also ran the blue carstock through my cuttle bug.

Peaceful

Today I am hosting a challenge in an online group. Our challenge is to create a layout around a picture of a sleeping child. I like to participate as well, so here's my example layout.
This picture was taken in 1995 ( I can't believe how quickly time has passed). The 2 sleeping babies are my nieces Taryn and Lauryn. Lauryn would have been about a year old and Taryn would have been about 13 months. I guess Taryn would tell her mom that Lauryn got lonely and that's why she crawled into the crib with her. Anyhow, I thought the picture was cute and fit the criteria of the layout. Now to frame the layout and give it to my sister when I see her.
